Saturday football
A magnificent couple of footballing days are in store, with two FA Cup semis and some serious fixtures in both the Premier League and the Championship. Arsenal or Liverpool can overtake Man C at the top while the Blues strut their stuff at Wembley. Sunday sees Coventry take on Man U. And they say the romance of the Cup is dead. It’s not. Who were the last side from outside the top division to have won the FA Cup?

At the bottom, Sheff U and Burnley will meet in what’s likely to be a dress rehearsal for next season. Mind you, a Burnley win would see the gap between them and Forest, one place above the dotted line, reduce to just three points. That would bring late hope to the Clarets. Everton and Forest also meet in another vital bottom of the table clash, made more meaningful by Luton hosting Brentford who have little or nowt to play for.

The Championship is as tight as ever with Ipswich, Leicester, Leeds and Southampton scrabbling for the top two places. Tuesday sees Leicester take on the Saints in what could be a truly vital contest with massive ramifications for both sides. The Foxes host the Baggies, in fifth place, in Saturday’s early game.

At the bottom, Rotherham are gone, which leaves Sheff Wed, Huddersfield, Birmingham, Stoke and QPR separated by three points with three to play and two relegation places to resolve.

Re: Saturday football
Have to agree with comma, City without Haaland are a better team. When he's the focal point of their attack they can be pretty one dimensional in their build up play. And how good was their first goal last night? KDB will be greatly missed when he Jack's it in, wonderful footballer.

Re: Saturday football
To be fair to DeZerbi they sold a bunch under him and think they have 7 or 8 injured including Ferguson & Mitoma who are their 2 best forwards
And he rested the 3rd best Adingra

Mitoma has hardly played recently and imagine he will be the next one off
Expect DeZerbi will have had enough soon and will have offers

Shame we showed Brighton the way to the cliff then demonstrated what jumping off it does.

Re: Saturday football
Brighton have absolutely fell off a cliff and De Zerbi is losing his reputation with each passing day. Good to see.

Classic Moyesball from Everton here.

Defend the 18 yard box
Set play goals

Re: Saturday football
Seeing the way Salah has been off late we're going to do well to keep Bowen or especially Kudus

Re: Saturday football
We did try!

Salah is having a bit of a ‘mare as well.

Interesting VAR check for the goal, looked off to me from the free kick but they only appeared to have a very quick look at it.

I know it is Arsenal but it is wonderful to see Todd Boely's mob get a proper thrashing.
This is what £1bn gets you when you don't have a clue.

5-0 now

Well i expect that's another management vacancy in the summer, Poch will be picking up his P45 in the summer, if not before if this turns into a humiliation. which it currently looks like?

Especially after going out of the FA cup and then Pep ranting his team wasn't ready for that game, players tired and mentally drained, very little preparation etc etc BUT they still beat Chelsea and got to the fina! LOL, Doubt that went down too well for those in charge at Stamford Bridge......
